Old Business:

There was a proposal brought up at the meeting to invite "Linda Maher"
to this year's club banquet, and that her meal be paid for by the club funds, it was unanimous. Rich will contact her as soon as possible.
Once again, be thinking about nominations to hold an office on the e-board for next season, or running for office yourself. The club would like to see some new faces on the e-board. The time to start submitting "rule change proposals" is here.
If you would like to submit a proposal, please type them up and email them to Rich as soon as possible, if you do not have access to a computer or type writer, write the proposal out and pass it on to the club secretary.

Refer to ARTICLE IV, Section 1, A & B of the Constitution and BY-Laws.
Proposals must be submitted prior to the September tournament.

Nominations for "Slammer"

Ron Fairbanks
Jim Bailey Sr.

New Business:

E. W. Coombs was a guest at our July meeting, he was sponsored by Mack Cramer. He was paired with Tony Boyett for the tournament.
E.W. was a former member of the Hawghunters years ago.

Pete Potter is planning on catching enough fish (saltwater species) for a fish fry at the October tournament, sounds like a good idea.
Good luck Pete.

Pete is also starting to plan our annual picnic, it will most likely be at the same location as last year's event, everyone had a good time and were looking forward to it again. So, make plans to attend this year, the end of September will most likely be the time frame.

JulyTournament:

The July tournament was held on the Tensaw River out of Cliff's Landing. There were 21 Hawg Hunters and one guest present to fish at safe daylight. High tide was around noon and the river was stained to muddy. The creeks and lakes were mostly clear in the grass areas and stained to muddy in the Tensaw lake area. The morning started out cloudy and around 9a.m. the sun finally popped out warming things up just a tad, the morning bite was on in some places and off in others. Some caught their fish on topwater's and others caught their's on soft plastics. From the talk at the weigh in, catching little fish wasn't a problem. Around 1p.m. mother nature let the bottom fall out once again with a very hard down pour, visibility was cut to near zero running back to the launch site. Everyone made it back safe and sound, just soaked.

JulyTournament Cont:

At the scales, Mack Cramer took first place honors with a limit weighing 7.25 lbs.

" Reminder Note"

It's hot this time of year so we need to do everything possible to keep those fish alive. If you don't have any live well tablets or granules, try and remember to buy some the next time your in Walmart or a tackle store. It really helps the fish.
