Old Buisness:

The club discussed getting a new set of scales, and using the old ones as a back up. The new scales came in, and worked great. We will order a new battery for the old scales, and make it the back up.

New Buisness:

When Terry Smith ordered the new shirts for our members they were not the same shirts we have. The club excepted the new shirt with no problem.

A Little Salt:

Maxine

Most popular overalls in Georgia, West Virginia, Texas & maybe the Carolinas too!

February Tournament:

The February tournament was held on the Mighty Lake Seminole. With expectations high, and dreams of monster lunkers we were in for a long one. Practice day was warm and beautiful, with some finding fish and some left scratching their head. There was even one who forgot it was practice day and brought a fish to the scales. (Kevin Simmons). He said it weighed 6 lbs, but the ones who witnessed seen it was only 3.6 lbs. Saturday everyone was off to their lunker lairs. That afternoon the winds came a roaring. At the scales Brian Metcalf was in the lead, and also big fish. Sunday morning there were rumbings of the wind. Unfortunately due to the flu, some headed home early. The wind decided to give us a break. Not many were fortunate enough to bring any fish to the weigh in.

But Pete Potter, yes Ol' Pete, brought the lil' 6.25 lb monster in. Brian Metcalf walked away with the win, and the lead in the points race. It was a good tournament and even better social time. Really great cookout I might add.
See you next month at Miller's Ferry.
Keep casting till next time.
