Old Buisness:

No further nominations came from the floor. Additional nominations will be accepted before officers elected at the October meeting. It was brought to the attention of the E-board that Tournament Rule #12, which provides direction on how the club measures fish, was not in accordance with state regulations. The E-board was unanimous in their motion that the rule should be changed, citing Constitution Article IV Section 1.b. as their reference. The motion was seconded, discussed and voted on. The motion passed. The club will now measure a fish with its' mouth closed and tail pinched. Proposals for Constitution, By-laws, Tournament Rules and Fish-off Rules were presented and discussed.
They will be posted on the website.

No further discussion will be allowed at the October meeting, but proposals can be clarified if a member has a question. Proposals will be voted on during the October meeting.
Lee gave the club some information about the launch site for the October tournament. It is new and located a little north of the old Breakaway Lodge.
The list for those eligible for the Fish-Off was not available at the meeting. Everyone should know how many tournaments they have fished and how much, if any, they are short on catching up on the Fish-Off pot; however, the E-board will attempt to contact those that owe money before the October meeting.

September Tournament:

Those that pre-fished on Friday had great hopes for the weekend. All reports were that the fish were hungry.
Saturday the weather was pretty good all day, even though it did get pretty hot around lunchtime before the clouds started rolling in and the weather started turning bad. Every fisherman caught at least one keeper fish on Saturday. Going into Sunday, Brian Metcalf held down 1st at 14.08lbs with Pete Potter about 3 lbs back at 11.19lbs. Jere Jaillite, John Buck and Dan Nash were hot on their trail with over 10lbs each. Saturday's Big Fish went to Pete Potter with a 3.81lbs green trout.
Sunday started off with a pretty good rain storm preceded by some ominous looking clouds, but the rain stopped and fishing continued, business as usual... Some did well others not so well...so goes the story of fishing. Not as many fish came to the scales this day but John Gasperak managed to catch his very first limit of fish in a tournament. Congrats John.

Tournament Winner
Brian Metcalf

When all was said and done, Brian managed to hang on to 1st place by .25lbs. over Jere Jaillite. Brian had a 2 day total of 21.33lbs to Jere's 21.04lbs. They don't get much closer than that folks.

Big Fish Winner
Dave Dyess

3rd went to Dan Nash with 18.70lbs and 4th went to John Buck with 17.05lbs. Big Fish on Sunday went to Dave Dyess with a fish that weighed in at 4.04lbs. The Buray lives on.
